Fresh water tanks connected together

I have the Eagle 29.5RKS, but I suspect that other models also have the two fresh water tanks that are plimbed together. Does anyone know if the connecting plumbing is at the bottom of the tanks, or midlevel or high on the tanks? I'm thinking that if they are connected low then opening one drain valve would drain them both, not true if higher up.

It is connected low at the bottom. Think about it.......if it were not low the tanks would never equalize below the point of connection.

Well that's about what I reasoned, but since there are two drain valves, I wondered. My wife asked me if the pump pulled from both tanks and that made me think that the pump suction would be in only one and that they would equalize levels.

I know on our TT when I am draining the tanks I open both valves, but one stops draining well before the other. So I suspect that one with the pump intake is slightly lower that the other.
