kevinhedican, I have a 2012 HT 26.5RLS SuperLite and my front cap cracked during the first year. It cracked at the top of the running light on the driver side of the cap. I took it to the dealer for repair and Jayco just had them replace it. It was all under warranty but took quite a while. Had it done after the season so it wasn't a big deal.

Same Same but I'm the second owner on a 2014. Hoping they will fix it so they don't have a faded 2014 running around. Contacted Jayco and waiting on a rely.

They sanded all the gel coat off my unit and painted it and added a clear coat. Looks really nice. Any body shop that does fiberglass work knows how to fix it.

Faded Paint

Just picked up my 2013 321RLTS from Aberdeen RV. They did a super job repainting my front cap .Completly satisfied the way Jayco handled this. I was without my RV for only six days.

Got a hold of Jayco about my 2012 eagle ht and it's fading front cap. They have agreed to a re-paint even though it's a year off warranty. Can't beat that for customer relations.

These are before and after photos from polishing/waxing the top of my cap. It's a 10x10 area of this white milky appearance. There is also a reflection of the clouds on the cap, however you can tell he hazy milky area from the reflection of the clouds.

Is this fading or an isolated anomaly? She was painted Nov/Dec of 2013.

I have a 2013 Pinnacle both front and back are fading. The dealer Colerain RV made contact with JAYCO who has agreed to repaint at no charge even out of the two year warranty. Colerain as ordered new stickers and agreed to paint at end of season. Everything good so far.

Well I finally heard back from Jayco. Calmly told them about the fade on my 2014 and that I'm second owner. This is Mike from Jayco and I have reviewed your concern on fading cap issue, we will not be able to help you! So what did I do wrong? Suggestions?

The Jayco logo on a fading cap isn't big enough. [emoji23]That and they caught onto everyone on here calling all of a sudden.

Disregard the logo comment, it was meant for sarcastic humor and entertainment purposes, not to be serious. If anyone has a picture of what some of the fading looks like could you post some so we know what to look for?

It should be pretty obvious if it happens. To call it fading (which I do) is probably misleading. The fiberglass gel coat is oxidizing and will get a dull "chalky" look to it. When you see it you'll know it. It starts on the very top edge of the cap and gradually starts working its way down the cap. When I took it back to the dealer the top 1.5-2 feet had "the look". Polishing and waxing will "help" the appearance for a short time only.
I think it really only affects the appearance and I almost didn't want to take the trouble to have it fixed. But then the little light went on and I was reminded that I spent quite a bit on my 5th and take pride in it's appearance and my take on the way it looked was it had been sitting 10 yrs with no attention.
It's hard tell but take a look at my sig picture. The top edge is dull and is lighter than the lower part of the cap. From the small pic you might think it's a reflection from the sky or something. It's not.

Red can you scroll up a couple of posts and look at the pictures I attached? The first is before I buffed, top op cap and directly to the right of the orange cord with duct tape is a 12"x12" area I'm concerned about. Around it is reflection of clouds, you can tell difference. Second picture is same area in speaking of after buffing and zoomed in. It's an isolated area which is why I'm doubtful of what it is. Either way it goes in for a few weeks next month then Nov 1 goes in until all of my issues have resolution. April the factory warranty goes bye bye.

Thanks all.

P25,
I looked at your pics right after you posted. It's hard to tell from the pic but I hear you saying the problem is isolated to a smallish area and not spread over the whole upper area of the cap. You also say "painted". If it's been painted already I'd think it's a problem with the paint.

Maybe a large sign "2014 1.5 year old Jayco" with an arrow pointing up to the issue.
Camp ground host last week suggested a marine product POLYGLOW. I'll get some from the local marine supply and see if it will work as the factory's not fixing mine.
