Front cap led lights
I have purchased a 2020 pinnacle 36kpts and can only find a switch under front cap to shut off the led lights???? I owned a 2014 pinnacle 36kpts and the front led could be turned on and off with my awning switch from inside. Am I missing something or is the only way to turn off and on? If I go away for evening I would like to have turned on and then when I get in trailer turn off from inside the fifth wheel.

I have a 2016 north point and the front cap lights are controlled only from the switch under the cap. It would be nice to have a switch inside.

I have a 2020 36FBTS with the same setup. Haven’t tried the phone app yet.

I’ll help you out. Take out the closet shelf, it’s held in with 4 screws. You’ll find the wires back there.

I know exactly what is back there [emoji3]
I’ve taken that shelf out several times for various reasons. Just need to decide if it’s something I want to do since I rarely if ever turn on the front cap lights. Then, if I do in fact do it, where would I locate the switch that makes sense?

It would have to be a three way switch setup. I think on the side of the bedroom dresser, with the slide switch, would be a good spot.
I wish the water pump switch was a three way.

My trailer doesn’t have any switches on the dresser. For me, the ideal place would be in the control panel but that would be a pita to run the wire to plus, I’d have to find a spot for the switch in the panel.
I agree it would need to be a three way

I use the cap lights quite a bit. Always while traveling..........It gives off that "here I come, get out of my way" effect. At night it's a great security light that lights up the front area really well without being obtrusive.

At first, I wasn't sure which lights you were referring to: the decorative LED strip or the LED docking lights. The docking lights being switched on the underside next to the pin box makes perfect sense. I never use the LED light strip, and also had a water leak under the nose that I finally traced to those light strips. One of them had no rubber grommet where the screw went through the fiberglass. Of course, to make matters worse, the strip is anchored into the recessed channel that comes all the way down the nose from the roof and all the rainwater followed it right to the screw hole.
For those using the LED strip lights for decoration or general illumination, it shouldn't be too hard to run a wire back to the area near your awing light switch - or simply pick up the switched leg for the awning and have them both on the same switch! It might be simpler to bypass the front switch so you don't need to wire three way switches to both locations - as you found, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have that switch located there.

I have these on my Eagle and don’t really get what the point is in having them. Do you guys use them as decor in an otherwise dark campground, or extra illumination during nights ops connecting/disconnecting?

Funny, we've had the rig a year now and we just found those switches this summer. (we had yet to hook or un-hook in the dark). Then I was leaving for work at 330 am and they were handy. Also for walking dogs in the dark.

They make remote control on and off switches you could probably wire one of them in there and keep the remote by the control panel. And if you leave you can take it with you and turn them on when you get back to the site.
Something like this:
