Front landing gear switch.

Not sure the mindset behind using" push, extend, release and push again to retract" for slides and landing gear. Rear jacks have a momentary double throw...
Anyway when leveling the front landing gear at the coast this last week, the RETRACT function failed all of a sudden. Every other push runs the EXTEND just fine. The motor ( 2 yrs old according to P/owner) doesn't look big enough to have a set of windings for both directions of rotation, and given the age of the switch I'm leaning towards one of it's "throws" failing.
Anybody experienced similar? Has anyone converted to a momentary extend, momentary retract rocker? Anybody possibly have a schematic? already have a socket to adapt for use in my lug gun drill. The hand crank bout killed me! The local Camping World had no clue as to a replacement switch other than " there's some switches over by the washer/dryers..."
Thanks
