Front window

We have a 2018 North Point that has a stationary front window in the front, they had to replace it 2 days before we bought the rv because someone was driving by the front of the dealership and threw a rock and busted it out anyway the last time we moved I noticed a little stream of water coming down one corner of the frame but we checked around it and it all looked like it was sealed up good so I thought maybe it was just condensation but our son came to the lake today to visit and he was walking around looking at the rv and noticed that the bottom of the window doesn’t have a seal around it and when you pressed on it the window moves? Since it is just for looked should it have a seal all the way around it? We have had this rv for a year now but I never noticed it leaked before because when you raise the tv from behind the fireplace it covers that window

It should not move at all when you push on it. I would definitely take it back to the dealer. Sounds like the forgot to caulk all the way around.

We have a front window ( for the cats, you know), and after looking at your post I went up to clean it outside and, yeah, it’s caulked solid all the way around. Never mind the gulf storm last week with 35 mph of wind and rain on the nose, think of the interstate at 65 mph.

You can see if Jayco will authorize a local mobile tech to do it. I would grab a tube of Clear GE Sillicone II and caulk it but you need to be careful to lay a neat bead without making a mess. Blue masking tape on the frame and window next to the bead lets you pull away excess smear after running down the bead with a windex-soaked fingertip. That caulk is commonly used around aircraft windshields very similar to the front of our rigs. No one will see it up there anyway (unless you have a cat....)
