Furnace Help!!

We accidently spilled some water in the bathroom and it went down the floor vent which is just above the furnace. The furnace was not on, but shortly thereafter the furnace fan came on and has been running for about 45 minutes. What would cause the fan to come on? Is there a sensor that would have sensed the water and triggered the fan!

If it wasn't the TH the water could have made a temporary short. But if everything is normal at present, then I would not worry about it.

The fan stopped after about a hour. I haven't tried to actually run the furnace yet, but will do so later when the temp drops. Pardon me, but what is TH?

The furnace came on this morning but the burner would only light for about 3 seconds then go out.
