Furnace not heating

We have a 2019 Jayco Northpoint. Our furnace was working, this morning it was putting out cool air, not hot. Any thoughts?

could be a number of things. simplest to check is gas, which you did. one step further would be to shut both ac/dc breakers off/on, sometimes this resets a glitch in the operating board. If that does not work then check the furnace vent to make sure it is not obstructed, make sure stove and oven ignite. Sometimes running the stove for a few minutes helps purge the gas lines from trapped air bubbles.. If those checks do not come up with good results then you should have a RV HVAC person look at it. Sometimes the igniter control board goes bad, sometime the thermostat goes out. What year model is your RV?

Did you happen to open the propane valves to quickly activating the safety feature detecting an open line?

Happened to me a few times.

Was the air coming out of the floor vents or the ceiling vents that would make a big difference whether you’re using the furnace or the heat pump

What is the battery voltage? When we had our Cherokee Grey Wolf 23mk the furnace was blowing cold air because the voltage was to low and not allowing the igniter to light the propane.

Fire up the propane stove - let it run for a bit. Sometimes that purges air in the line.

Head outside when it tries to start and see if you feel hot air coming out of the exhaust.

Mine will attempt to light three or four times, but you can feel the hot air from the exhaust.

If you do - then your furnace is trying to start but is sensing a reason to not. Check vents for obstructions. You may need a new Sail Switch (I did).

If the exhaust is not hot at all, then something might be wrong with the control board. Many boards have red LEDs that will blink a trouble code and help you debug.

There is a reset switch on the top cover. Sometimes hard to see without a flashlight.

Could also be the pressure regulator. Jayco has a recall going on one of the ones they installed. Mine went bad and the same thing happened to me. Changed out the regulator and haven't had anymore problems.

When the regulator went bad, did the range or water heater work?

Here is a great video for trouble shooting
If yours has an outside access panel, it’s much easier.

I just had my trailer in for the same thing. It was the Sail switch on the motor. The switch was ok but the part that the switch mounts to is stopping the blade from fully engaging the switch The part has been redesigned because of this problem. Getting the replacement part is very difficult right now. The plastic right under the blade can be removed with a Dremel tool. This gives it enough room to fully press the switch. If you can’t get a switch this will get you back up and running until they are available.
