Furrion DVD/CD player noise

In our 2019 29.5 BHOK while watching DVD movies, we can hear background noise that is an alternating tone like: bee dow, bee dow. Anyone have ideas if this is a feedback, interference, or noise from the DVD player?
Has anyone replaced the Furrion DVD/CD player with a different brand?

The two radios that came in my 2019 have the beeping. The two replacements from Jayco ( swapped out because of the volume issue) have the same beeping. The replacements also still had the volume issue. Furrion sent me a firmware update that fixed the volume but I still have the beeping when watching movies.

If I turn the volume down on the radio and up in the TV there is no beeping so it is definitely coming from the radio.

I have the same issue in our 2018 Eagle 317RLOK that is only 3 months old.

I too, thanks to prm99v6, loaded the firmware update and it did stop the volume speed race, but there is still the background noise.

I have found that if you keep the DL1220 "OFF", turn the TV volume all the way down, then turn the DL1220 "ON" and select one of the 3 zones you will hear what sounds like a 60 cycle hum. Increase the volume on the DL1220 and you can cover the hum, but it is still there!

I have a hearing problem and wear aids so it is not easy for me to hear, however my wife's hearing is excellent and the constant hum/sounds irritate her so we turn the DL1220 "OFF" thus losing the surround sound/sound bar.

The TV speakers are not that good but unless Furrion comes on board and fixes this that is all we can use and the surround sound / sound bar are just extra weight.

My advice is to go to Furrion.com and fill out their form for support, they will assign it a case number. Hopefully they will address this promptly.

Yep, that is it. We also have the zooming volume issue from max to zero, then back again.

The sound into the TV is coming from the audio out on the radio. The beeping is in the speakers (also currently how the sound bar is hooked up) So the beeping is only in the speaker speaker outputs. The Furrion sound bar is basically junk and I don’t like that you need to have the ceiling speakers on the use it.

I might swap out the sound bar for one with hdmi and rca inputs. That way the soundbar handles all
The sound switching and you run the single connection to the TV.

DL 1220 issues resolved

I received a new DL1220, build date 032018 and it appears to have resolved the issues, I did have to apply the firmware update to stop the racing volume control, but the strange noises seem to have been resolved. Time will tell.

Latest update on the background sounds in the DL1220.

In late August, Furrion sent me a new DL1220 with a new build date, the radio was installed the day it was received and while on the road during a 4,200 mile trip the same issues returned.

I recorded the background sounds and sent it to Furrion customer support. The CS rep reported that their techs were successful in replicating the issue and were investigating a solution in house before sending their results to the Chinese techs.

As soon as I get an update from Furrion I will update this post.

Did Furrion ever provide a solution to DVD player beeping problem? I have 2018 30.5MBOK - same issue

Yes Furrion provided another radio, a DL1230 model that eliminated the background noises completely.
I was told by Furrion that the DL1230 was a new build that had not been previously released. It also eliminated the volume raceing problem too.

Update

Spoke with Furrion yesterday. They have sent me a firmware (email) update regarding the DV1220 noise (DVD) issue. I haven't installed / tested it yet. Hopefully, this is the solution to the intermittent beeping.

I hope the sw updates work for you, they did not work for me, one did stop the volume racing but the beeps remained. I went through 2 DL-1220's until they sent a DL-1230.

Good Luck!

I never bothered anymore either. Ripped out the Furrion sound bar and installed a Samsung also added a Samsung Blu-ray player. All TV and movie sound goes through the better sound bar. I can stream music to it so we don’t even use the Furrion radio anymore. Also use a Bluetooth speaker outside because it’s always sounded better than the OEM outside speakers.

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the built in Furrion TV speakers and activate to RCA audio out jacks. Been through the menu several times, can’t find any mention of it

I had Furrion send me the firmware update that supposedly fixes background noise. I did install it on both of my radios but don't have time to sit and watch a movie. The living room unit isn't set up to do that anymore so for me it would be the one in the bunk room.

I did check to make sure it didn't break the volume again.

Furrion SW

I highly recommend that you call Furrion directly, I have heard that there has been a change in the SW for the radio, mine does work now, but it took Furrion sending me an DL-1230 radio to clean it up. There may be a work around that now or they may send a 1230. Check with them to get the latest word.

Dv1200 chirping noise

Thought I'd post a solution I found for the chirping noise in a dv1200 stereo. It started after about 4 years after we bought our RLTS 27.5 Jayco. After removing the radio and checking all the wires, I found the green and green/black subwoofer wires that were tucked into the wiring harness sleeve were stripped and touching. After separating and connecting them, I could make the chirp come and go. A little tape and problem solved. Poor installation seems to be the culprit.
