Furrion replacement

Looking for advice from people who have replaced the Furrion 50” tv.
Camping this weekend and having some storms and our Furrion decided it has had enough.
Wanting to replace with a smart and better tv this time.
Hoping for one that does NOT require a bunch of work to install in the televator

I'm partial to LG. You should not have any installation problems at all. What you will have is a 1000% better viewing experience

And I like Samsungs. As previously stated the mounting brackets should work fine. Just make sure that the exterior dimensions of the new TV fit in the space. Only other thing I could think of is that the mounting holes be in the same spot on new TV vs Old.

No one has had issues with LCD or LED Samsung or LG failing because of travel? I was always afraid of swapping the Furrions out because I was concerned other brands couldn't handle to road. Those that swapped out the Furrions do you put a lot of miles on your rigs? Unsure if that's a valid concern or not?

We have a Toshiba, Colby, Sony, Vizio and Samsung TVs in our house. I like the Sony the best because it reads OTA channel info faster than the others and has a feature where you can turn off the screen but still get sound....this comes in handy when you want to listen to the 10 PM news but want it dark before bed. We took the Colby and Vizio with us in our old TT for 5 years. They were spare TVs that our kids have now but they held up well over time. I suspect Furrion doesn't make their own TVs, they are just rebranded from another manufacturer. Any TV from Walmart, Amazon etc should be fine.

I have the cheapest LG I could find to fit the space in mine trailer. It has been 4 years, and has been through Utah winters, and Nevada/Arizona summers. Just get what you want.

I replaced mine with an LG Smart TV. It’s leaps and bounds better quality, picture and interface. I also added an LG sound bar to replace the terrible sound bar the system had.

Furious is cheap junk. It’s nothing special to “ handle the road”. It’s the lowest quality crap I’ve ever seen.

I work at Sam’s Club electronics dept and sell TVs.

I always counsel our members (customers) that LG, Samsung and Sony float to the top of recommendations by reputable reviewers. Visio is often labeled as “good for the money” or “value”.

None of the above are bad - all better than Furrion.

Good news is that the screw spacing for mounts (VESA standard) are just that- standardized. For any given diagonal size weights and outside dimensions are pretty consistent. Dimensions for all TVs sold at Sams are listed on the web site.

It’s funny how many RV’ers I meet in the store (and see in the parking lot).
