Hello All,

Looking at trading up from our 27BH TT to the FW 27.5 BHS. Anyone own won that would like to give me some incite?

Also, I currently have 2012 dodge ram hemi big horn crew cab truck. Has a max tow of 9000lbs would this work as the FW says it is under 7000lbs dry.

Thanks in advanced.

we have the 2010 Quad Cab Ram Hemi and tow the Eagle HT 23.5
Although the dry weight is 5900 lbs with a 1160 lbs pin, ( scales now say 6800 lbs and pin 1300) we are a bit overweight but the truck does great. No problem up hill or downhills and breaking is fine too.
We picked this specific 5th wheel to keep the weight down as 95% of people we talk to (not here, but the "other" forum) told us 1/2 ton trucks couldn't do it. If we had to do it again, we'd get a slightly bigger one. An extra 1000 lbs would still be no problem for this truck.
I was really nervous when we first got it but the truck tows great!!!
To answer your question, the Ram can certainly do it but keep in mind, the payload is low on them and be prepared to be over your RAWR.
We put timbrens and 10 ply tires on the truck.

Willis's, can you tell me the differences from the 2013 to 2014? There is 2013 on a lot near me and priced pretty good. Just want to know the changes if any.

Thx

Hey Burch42. Led lights under awning. Moryde 3000 suspension. Two grey tanks (not sure 2013 if one or two)
Hi gloss finish. Color scheme... Thats about it.. Oh. No outside sink and stove combo on 2014. Only bbq on the hitch.
Don't know whe they removed the sink and stove... Also tv 32 instead of 26 and remote for slide, landing gears and awning
I think thats it...

I'd miss the sink and stove but bigger tv and remote control is pretty cool
