gap under rug when slide is out??
Does anyone have a fix for the gap under the carpet at the slide when it is out. There is a 1 to 1.5 inch gap under the carpet flap that gets stepped in..is there supposed to be something there or is there a fix for this,I did not notice it on my 2016 bhs and now just got a 2018 bhs????

Different year and model, but I don't recall seeing any gap when the slide is out.
Can you see to the outside or ??? A photo might be helpful to understand what you are seeing.

On some of the fivers the slide support are bending under the slide. That may cause you slide not open level!Maybe a broken slide roller. Hopefully somthing simple. Thanks

I'm assuming that you are referring to your dining room slide? On my 2018 NP 315, just as the slide reaches it's full extension, it drops down. Conversely, as you retract it it pulls up slightly. Maybe yours is not extending enough to the point that it drops and therefore the gap. Just a guess.

If you mean the area where the carpet is not fully supported that is normal. The floor is "wedged" to allow the slide to raise up as it comes in.

Another thing is that when the slide is retracted that carpet edge presses up against the kitchen island and retains memory for a day or so when it's extended which makes the carpet look "raised" until it flattens out.

Perfectly normal with the "flat floor" slide.

Mine bothers me too, as I can see it the full length of the carpet runner. I was thinking about some foam backer rod of the right diameter to lay in there under the carpet to take up the gap as mine goes out and stays out for weeks on end.

Just remember to remove it when you bring the slide in.

Another Jayco screw up carpet maybe 1/2" to long in our Eagle 321 RSTS also.Instead of waiting for right size carpet from vendor! They install it any way.More Jayco garbage,in my opinion. Thanks

Doesn't look normal to me either. If I'm looking correctly the slide floor looks a little short. Take it back to the dealer and see what they say. Neither of my "flushfloor" slides have that gap.

My 2018 NP doesn't have a big gap.........no gap at all. Sounds like they short cut the floor for your slide, therefore leaving a big gap like that.
