Recently went through this with my '17 Pinnacle. Residential refer. Dual 15k A/C.

I looked at several different combos'. Honda is the gold standard but for the price I found the champions to be a better value. I purchased one 3400Wdual fuel-electric start champion for slightly over $800 on sale from Electric Generators Direct. For that price I can replace it 3 times before I reach the cost of the Hondas. I recently used it boondocking for a week. Ran 1 15 a/c and the refer fine. It ran pretty much everything I wanted except both A/C's at once. Nice thing is you can parallel the Champion'swith different models to I can get a smaller one if I wanted to run 2 A/C's. Honda says you need to parallel with the same unit.

The champion ran flawlessly. my BIL's Honda 2000 was right next to it. At idle you couldn't tell them apart. At full throttle the Champion was louder - but it is nearly twice the running power Honda 1600/Champion 3200. Can't deny the Honda's reliability but for the $ I like the Champion.

Generators

I have a pair of Champion 2000 w generators. they are rated quieter than the Hondas and run a little better power. got the two for about the price of one Honda. Thing 1 and Thing 2 run the 15K A/C, coffee pot and the TV very handily. To run the microwave, the coffee pot has to go-good thing we don't microwave, much!

Pros of EU3000i: Gas tank large enough to run all night.
Cons: Heavy

Iv'e heard some prefer 2 of the EU2000i's because of manuverablity. But gas tank size is only 1.1 gal. Where the EU3000 is 3.5 gal.
Install a Micro-Air soft start kit and that will solve the running the genny at full power.

I and others on this forum have it installed and love it.

Not according to several youtube comparisons. Here's one.

you guys are NOT reading the specs right. The champion 2000 is not rated quieter than the honda 2000 AND it is NOT quieter. I have owned both.

I run parallel Honda 2000's. We looked at a bigger generator but I'm not Hercules. Runs my ac no problem.

Generator

I don't think the 3000 will start the 15000 AC.You can check with American Honda. I didn't realize you could link up a 2000 to a 3000? If your running your frig on propane it would run off 12 volt.

You can't parallel a Honda 2000 with a 3000. They must be like kind.

Not true. Honda doesn't want you to, but it's possible.
A friend with a small hybrid pairs an EU2000i with an EU1000i. Runs his small hybrid trailer(A/C included) just fine.

You can see several examples of it on YouTube if you're so inclined.

You can drive a nail with a rock but it won't be pretty. Honda says not to do it so I'll take their word for it.

It will with a Micro-Air soft start kit
This is talked about elsewhere on the forum.
