Generator hookup

Bought a new pinnacle off the lot with generator prep....how difficult would it be to connect a portable generator into the system ? Have a Yamaha .... would love to use that if I could....I don’t do much dry camping but would be nice also in an emergency with extended power outage....thanks.

All you need to do is plug your camper into the generator. No prep package is needed.

Would be a waste of your time. You would have to rig up some connection, and you can’t run a portable generator in the compartment anyway.

Your prep should have a junction box for electrical connections in front compartment , you could just add a cord there and plug into your generator if you want. You may even be able to connect the remote start but would have to check with generator manufacturer.
