Getting a Battery Tender hooked up

I love the the locking battery compartment on my Eagle Super Lite! I am just wondering how others have hooked up a battery maintainer. I am trying to decide if I should pull the compartment out and route the wires down to the underside of the FW or just try and close the door over the wires.

Thanks, Tom

I personally would be embarrased for anyone to see wire hanging out of a compartment and pinched by a door. When I install equipment for my marine customers, they expect no less than it look like a factory installation and I spend a lot of time removing panels, etc. so I can hide wiring and hoses. I also demand the same of myself for my personal installations. It comes down to how you are going to feel everytime you walk by it and look at it.
To me, a minimal installation would be to come up through the floor witha hole just large enough to accomodate the wire, seal the hole with a little silicone and use some cable clamps to hold the wiring in place.

You may want to verify that the converter needs a battery minder. If it is made by Progressive Dynamics, it may already be built into the converter.

Mine has one, not sure about your rig.
