Getting my new 5th wheel cap repainted

They suppose to repainted my Front cap and some other things that will be done all on warranty work. The cap is not bad but I figure since my warranty will be up in February I figure I will get it done.

A few more small items will be done also but all-in-all I’m loving my 5th wheel it have be rock solid, beside little things that had to be done. The wife and I are please with our Jayco Eagle 321rsts. They said that about four weeks until we will get it back but no problem because theirs no plan on going no where.

Have a Happy Merry Holiday and be safe all.

Same trailer here but 2017
We already had the cap done.
Now I have been waxing it 4 coats initially then just a couple more each year.. Looks great!
We both really like this trailer

Great, so what kind of wax do you use, when I get it back I will have to do the thing also because my warranty run out Feb. 2021 so next time I will have to pay?

I used Mcguires liquid gold...
Just use a good wax. Whatever you like.
The paint shop told me 4 coats at beginning and repeat twice. each year
Helps stop the bugs from sticking
Protects the surface like on a car or truck... Your going to need at least an 8 foot ladder. I also found lowering the front jacks made it much easier

I finally broke down and bought a 10 ft ladder. It makes a big difference. I use rejex sealant on the cap. Great stuff.

My first re-spray didn't go well. The paint cracked under the clear. The second re-spray is fine. Both times, they had trouble with the poor quality stickers Jayco sent. The fifth set of stickers actually came complete and look original.

Mind you, I don't believe a word this dealership tells me now, So they could have just been messing up the stickers themselves, all along.

I am going ceramic this time. I did an SiO2 for the winter, but in the spring I will put on one of the more permanent versions.
