Girard tankless control thermostats

Our Girard thermostat will not turn on. It doesnít light up. The switch in the outside tankless control panel is on. There is power to there but the thermostat in the bathroom will not light up. Anyone have any idea why itís not working?

Mine also has a water heater switch on the main control panel in the coach (where the slides, awning etc switches are). That water heater switch has to be on for the Girard control panel to work.

Have you checked the breakers and also I believe there is a fuse outside?

Talked to Girard today. Think we figured it out. First time camping water poored out the bottom of trailer. No oring in water heater water line. Camping World pulled water heater out to install oring. They must have pulled the thermostat wire loose. Have power at heater but not thermostat. Cannot access back of heater from anyplace in trailer guess it will have to be pulled out. Thanks a lot Camping World of Greenwood, Indiana

Sorry this happened to you. Hope you get it all taken care of in a timely manner.

We've also had some minor problems with servicing on our 2017 model 375 (independent dealer, not CW). Our dealer winterized it the first season we had it. They neglected to winterize the tankless lines (Jayco has since updated the winterizing instructions for tankless water heaters), and when we de-winterized the next spring, water went everywhere. Dealer had to replace the water heater. Told us everything was fine, and we took it out on the first trip of the season last spring. Then pump wouldn't work properly. It was running all the time, not just when using water. Took it back in, and they upgraded our pump (can't recall the exact specs--maybe 4 gpm). They admitted they "might" have disturbed the wires on the pump when fixing the water heater (?). Knock on wood - no trouble since, although they also replaced the single-handle shower faucet with a double handle since Jayco recommended that with the tankless system.

I personally think there is a lot of turnover in most RV service departments. Just about the time they know what they're doing, they're gone, it seems.
