Two years ago, just after we ordered our Eagle 321 RSTS, the local dealer got in his first batch on VanLeigh Vilanos. I was impressed with many of the Vanleigh features (upgraded furnishings, full height slide-outs, all wood cabinetry, etc.), to the point of having buyer's remorse.
Now, two years later, I'm glad that I purchased an Eagle.
My dealer is to the point that he's probably going to drop the VanLeigh.
While the VanLeigh units have the typical mass-production issues, there have been an abnormal amount of major issues with the slide-outs, in some cases having a slide-out literally falling out of the trailer and/or falling into the trailer. The dealer's service department has been able to repair some of the units but others had to be sent back to VanLeigh for repairs. It's gotten so bad that whenever a new unit arrives at the dealership, they evaluate it to see if they have time to make the repairs or refuse the unit. They receive a new, custom ordered, Vilano 325 this week and it looks like it's going to be headed back to the factory.
Evidently the son and grandson of Bob Tiffan didn't learn anything from their Elder and are riding on his name and some "eye-candy" features to sell their product.
I love my Eagle, plus I saved $30K!
