I have a 2020 gmc with the fifth wheel prep package and I use the cute gooseneck ball with the Andersen hitch.

2019 GMC Denali 3500 SRW pulling a 2018 North Point 377RLBH

Have the factory puck system but bought the truck used and the previous owner didn’t have the hole caps. Using the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch and it only uses the gooseneck ball so the only thing I wish is that I had the caps for the puck holes.

For future compatibility I want the factory installed FW support so even though the pcuks aren’t being used I would buy a truck with the factory installed system over a truck without it. Actually, I did just that myself.

Oh, and if towing a 5er, I’d only consider a 3500. The payload capacity bump for an SRW just seems critical to me. A 2500 would limit you to “HT” type or small 5rs only.

We purchased our Eagle 319MLOK and a 2020 2500HD Gas this past March. I had a B&W turnover ball and Anderson Ultimate installed. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I am 64 yrs old, and the Anderson is easy in and out with 3 bolts, and only weighs 37 lbs. It hangs on my garage wall when I need to actually use my truck bed.

Thanks everyone for your input. I feel more confident with the puck system now.

I commented on this thread previously but thought about it again today.

2018 - 3500HD Turbo Diesel Denali with dual rear wheels and the puck system.

I just removed my hitch for the winter, 5 minutes with no tools required.

I have a 2019 Chevy Duramax with puck system pulling a new 317rlok. Unfortunately, maiden voyage from dealer to home, I left the puck covers in bed and they blew out somewhere on I75. Anyone know where to get replacement covers??
