Good enough?

Like I mentioned in a post yesterday I’m in the process of winterizing our 317RLOK. I’ve been winterizing campers for many years but this is my first time winterizing one with a residential fridge with a water dispenser and ice maker. Although I’ve always used RV antifreeze in our previous campers I purged the water lines on this one using compressed air per the owners manual. However, I still feel like I should use RV antifreeze but am hesitant to run it through the fridge, although I see many other threads here where that is done (after removing the fridge’s water filter of course)

So, to use RV antifreeze in the campers water system without getting it in the fridge if I disconnect the tube feeding water to the fridge and there is no water draining out (post air purge) how confident can I be that there is no water left in the fridge and I’ve safely purged the fridges water using air?

Just blow the lines out and they don’t need to be full of antifreeze. It actually makes your life better in the spring(or if you want to do a quick trip over the winter). Antifreeze in the traps, and call it a day.

After blowing out all water from the frig line, you can then close the valve on the water supply line to the frig. Now you can run antifreeze through the camper and it will not get into the frig. Make sure you open your drain valve from the frig.

Thanks for the responses. Very helpful.

In reference to the quote above, where would I find the fridges drain valve? I’ve looked and can’t find any valve. But this is my first time winterizing a residential fridge so I may be looking at it and missing it.

My North Point has a similar layout. I have a cut off under the sink and under the stove. There should be a low point drain under the trailer for the water line that goes through the slide to the refrigerator. Open it to make sure all the water is out.
You can also get a water filter bypass to replace the filter in the refrigerator.
I use my trailer during the winter. I use the bypass filter blow out the line and cut off the valve under the sink and open the low point drain to make sure all the water is out.

Your frig drain is the low point drain. My 321RSTS is located at the rear of my kitchen slide out. I need to access from the outside with the slide open.
