Got the long awaited call

Dealer called me Saturday morning and said he was looking at our 36FBTS on his lot. We hit the road tomorrow, should be doing the walk-thru on Tuesday and heading back with it on Wednesday.

After our 6hr drive, we hit town late yesterday and got by the dealers' before they closed. Did a very quick look and first impression was WOW. The fridge was on and cold, ice maker was making ice, generator was started briefly, and the "Whisper Quiet" air was in fact whisper quite and blowing cold.
This morning the REAL inspection/walk-thru happens and I'm armed with my (4) page checklist, they may pay me to leave before it's over. LOL
Will be updating later....

Well the inspection went VERY well, I gave the owner a copy of my checklist before we got started and he was very receptive to it and actually told me he wished more customers would show more interest. He said a lot of people just want to hook on to their new toy and leave.

He assigned one of his techs to us and the tech had already been made aware of our intentions. I should point out that we spent a good (5) hours going over everything and asking questions. Once we started I just let the tech go and followed along with my list. When we got to something on our list we wanted to know about or check, we asked. The tech was VERY patient and helpful the entire time, at no time were we ever rushed. We literally checked ever function of the unit on all power sources (shore power, genset, lp, batteries and inverter).

INSPECTION RESULTS
The unit was obviously well prepped and well built, we found a very small scratch on a piece of window trim and the genset transfer switch did not work correctly. The scratch was so small we never mentioned it. The transfer switch was replaced immediately and tested, problem solved. Everything else worked as it should.

A FEW NOTES: The whisper quiet air, is whisper quiet. The air flow was good and felt the same at all ceiling vents throughout the unit, same with the furnace floor vents while it was running. The heat pump worked very good. The bedroom a/c is also fairly quiet even though it's ceiling mounted. The residential fridge is going to be a huge improvement from our other one. The 6 point leveling system is impressive. The over-all finish throughout the unit was very good and we are very happy with the results.

Tomorrow morning we head back to our area to enjoy our new toy for the rest of the week. When I figure out how to upload my list I will. It's actually an altered version of one listed on here already.

Thanks for the responses.

Made it back late yesterday afternoon with the "BEAST". What was a 6hr trip to pick it up turned into about an 8hr trip back due to torrential downpours most of the way back. But we made it safe. The first night in the new 36FBTS was great, everything is working great. It's still pretty early, but we couldn't be happier at this point.

We finally got to pick up our new fsla. I wish I could say the dealer was as good as yours. They had the trailer 10 days to get it ready for us as I had to drive to Houston from northern Oklahoma leaving a job. We called Monday morning saying we we're bringing our trade in and would be moving our stuff at the dealer. They didn't have nothing done we was there 4 hours moving stuff while they still haven't done a walk through. We have to try everything out on the road and hope it all works. Thankfully my wife is well acquainted with the jayco warranty peaple and know how to get stuff fixed on the road. Future reference if you hear anyone going to loneatar rv in Houston tell them please reconsider. All they want is there check and goodbye.
