Gray water valve broken?

Well I have my first issue with our 2017 Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS.
Went camping last week and when we were leaving on Sunday I stopped by the dump station to empty the tanks. I pulled the cover off of the sewer discharge and almost got a lapful of gray water. Seems that the dump valve is stuck or broken in the dump or open position. I'm hoping that the handle is just disconnected. At least it wasn't the black water....Lol
Any thoughts?

No thoughts, you have to tell if the grey handle came loose from the valve. It might have been not full closed by not pushing it in all the way.

GraftonGuns, our 2017 27.5RKDS gave me that same surprise the first time I dumped. Seems as if the shower/bath sink tank valve had not sealed properly. After that experience, I purchased one of these beauties:

The above solves a couple of potential problems ... leaking valve(s) and the "OH CRAP" surprise:-)

Had the same issue with my 2018 317RLOK, there was a piece of plastic stopping the valve from fully closing. Found it on the ground once the gray water seeped into the ground. So I spend the next hour filling and draining my gray tanks until I felt they were clean. Since then no problems with the gray tanks leaking.

Our black tank valve broke a few months ago. Aside from capturing the mess, the replacement was a lot easier than I anticipated.

I have a valve that leaks as well. I put on one of the twist on valves and do much better now. Sometimes it leaks and sometimes it doesn't.

So I investigated and found no issues with the valve handle be disconnected. everything was intact. Maybe I didn't close it completely. BUT, When I cut away the black belly covering, water came out and I found very wet insulation right in the spot where the drain line runs. I read somewhere on here that another person had the same issue and I cannot find that posting. Maybe it was a vent line etc. I can't remember. Any help?
