Greetings!

Was surfing the net and bought the app that applies to this forum: I'm picking up a new 2013 Jayco Eagle HT 27.5 BHS this week after the Reese 16 k with slider arrives and installed. This will be my first RV 5th wheeler and I'm too excited! Have to drive from Maryland to Harrisburg Pa to sign on the dotted line and drive it back home.

I have been reading forums, buying RV handbooks and attending RV shows. The Eagle HT stood out because I have 8 grandchildren & the 27.5 BHS sleeps 8 people

I only have one concern: I have a 2011 Ford F150 Supercrew/ short bed and having a Reese 16k pro series with slider installed. I was under the impression that the 2013 Eagle HT, has the Reese revolution already factory installed, so will it matter whether I am having a Reese 16K slider installed?

In addition- I read where Jayco has a two year warranty but my dealer says he's giving me a one year warranty plus a 3 year membership in Good Sam. Is that a good deal?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome and congrats !! I bought the same fiver but only getting it at end of april if the snow melts here in Ottawa....i have a Short bed.. 5.8". And i decided to go with the reese 16k, not the slider cause from what I read for the size of my bed it's not worth it, getting the sidewinder (same as revolution) installed on the fiver. I calculated the distance between truck cap and fiver and I'll have 7 inches at 90 degrees with the setup. I think if you get the revolution then you don't need slider. If your bed is 6.6 then the slider only should be good. If Jayco gives you 2 yrs, I don't know why dealer would say only 1 yr??

I would check with the dealer about the warranty. Is this a new trailer? Jayco gives a 2 year warranty on NEW trailers. The dealer does not have anything to do with this. If they are telling you a one year warranty I would think it is a used trailer. Is the dealer a Jayco dealer? I looked at Jayco's website and I do not see a dealer in Harrisburg. What is the name of the dealership?

yup, 2 year warranty on new Jayco's. I would be leery of that.
