Greetings

Happy Turkey Day

Just starting to get ready for some planning to hit the road.
Have a few questions
1) Does anyone miss working (haha)
2) After looking at many 5th wheels looks like we are leaning toward the Eagle 336 FBOK...anyone have one?
3) Hopefully we will be doing some boondocking and campgrounds and I would say about 50/50 what is a good app for National Forest camping
4) Looking at the B&W hitch
5) Planning on visiting Montana / Wyoming and following the warm weather. Has anyone been down toward Baja Mexico
6) Have been reading the forum for a few months and getting some good info....thanks all

I use an app “USFS and BLM campgrounds”
Many of these campgrounds are free.

Welcome!

You won't go wrong with the B&W hitch. I switched to the Companion this year and there was a noticeable improvement in the ride, so much so that DW noticed it too.

Welcome to the forum...

One thing we have noticed in our years of back-country boondocking in BLM and USFS managed lands... They rarely publish any campsites other than their "established campgrounds" that are managed by either a concessionaire or by the agency themselves. The true jewels of boondocking for us are in the places that they don't mark on the maps.

When we are searching for places, we use google maps and the USFS or BLM travel maps online. The forest service has been closing more and more roads to some of America's scenic campsites and also posting ordinances that prohibit camping in all areas of the forest except their campgrounds - unless they are in a "designated disbursed camping allowed" area that is rarely if never marked (except on the map by two dots - one on each side of the road)

So, we scout out a cool place, then check out on the maps if it is open to camping.
