Grey water at the dump valve cap

I have a 2018 26.5 RLDS . The dump valve always has some grey water build up. When I dump I let the tank drain completely empty and no liquid is running when I finish. However, after driving I notice that there is grey water at the dump cap. This has been this way since new and is annoying when I forget it and get splashed on the next dump as I am removing the cap. The dealer checked for valve leaks and did not find anything wrong. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix? Thanks

We had that with the PINNACLE, the pipe has a slight belly that held a little water.

I had the same problem. The grey tank is in the rear of my trailer. From the dump valve in the rear to the sewer connection is about 12 feet, and the pipe has no slant to it, so unless I lower the front of the trailer it always had water draining out when I removed the cap. Solution was to install a Valterra twist on valve to the main sewer connection. Costs about 25 bucks at any RV supply store or Amazon.

We had the same problem with our 2018 28.5 RSTS. It seems to be pretty common. We too installed the Valterra valve as Route 66 Traveler did and it works great. No more getting splashed with residual.

X whatever for the Valterra. I installed the Vlaterra Blade X gate that is a glue on. If I went with the twist on it would have stuck out AND hung down a little more than what I wanted. Either way, you cant go wrong. No more surprise splashes

One more for Valterra and I added a SS hose clamp to secure it since the twist-on seemed sketchy. I was concerned about the fact that it could still rotate and worried that the handle would rotate on road bumps but really no problem.

I did that on my travel trailer but on my fifth wheel the outlet is too close to the tires.
