Grey Water Valve

Hello,

We are new to camping and recently bought a used 2012 Jayco Eagle super lite 5th wheel. My grey water is backing into my sink and it says my grey tank 2 is full. However I opened the grey valve and nothing happens, and I can’t push the valve back in. Not sure if the valve needs to be replaced or what to do next.

Those sensor are already useless since the 70's so put a water hose on the discharge and close the black-tank valve (is normal closed) and open the grey-tank valve and see if you have a blockage.

The Grey is already open. The valve is out as far as it will go and I’m unable to push it back in

Then it is probably defect - so take it apart and fix it if possible. Use some Vaseline on the seals.

Good possibility the plate on the end of the valve shift has broken off and is remains in the shut position. Sounds like someone is getting wet. Be thankful it is gray water..
