ground clearence for LCI 6 point leveling system

I am the proud owner of a 38 REFS Pinnacle. The rear jack has 5.25 in. ground clearance in the towing position. Stablizer jack 6.25 in. Contacted Jayco and we discussed Why Jayco does not set up with more ground clearance.
The rv was built according to RVIA standards. { Montana,OPEN Range and many others raise theirs much higher than Jayco.}
Jayco says because I have 3500 ram I am toeing nose high. If I had a 2500 the jacks would be higher of ground. THey said I should have checked that before purchasing the pinnacle. My fault that I want to tow safely and within limits.
Even if I were towing level, the most I would have 5.25 inches [difference between 5.25 a 6.25 inches.
Reversing axels will void warranty.
I would not have taken possession if I had really thought about the consequences. Looks like something to take up with RV direct.

If it were me I'd flip the axles and take my chances. The chances of having an axle issue are far less than the chances of dragging those jacks.
Telling you that you should've bought a 3/4 ton is really pathetic. Just goes to show how out of touch even MFG's are with ratings.

I have read where others have used these including me, and have had no problems. The ubolts that come with them are much better than the stock ones.

By looking at pics of his 5er it looks like the springs are under the axles. Blocks would make it worse. Even the sewer connection is low.

philfishes, I'm in the same boat as you but with a different FW and truck.
I have a 2017 Eagle HT 27.5RKDS with 4 point leveling system. The rear jacks are 6" above ground, towing with a Silverado 2500. And, the jacks are NOT height adjustable. Very disappointed that Jayco didn't at least make the jacks height adjustable. I can easily put some leveling blocks under them if they wouldn't reach the ground.

Jayco agreed to approve raising our rear jacks as they were too low on our 2017 325bhqs. Camping world moved them up 2 bolt holes and now there is sufficient clearance. Before we had people trying to warn us that they were down or too low.

I always make sure there is something lower than things like jacks. On mine it is the rear hitch point.

I have this system as well. I moved the rear up 2 pin positions and the front was removed for travel. no more worries.

Unless the jacks are already up tight against the bottom of the trailer, they can be raised. They are on adjustable mounts. Lippert makes the frames and the jacks. Jayco really isn't involved in how low they are. The higher end units are so tall they come underslung to kept the clearance down. But that makes the jacks and such lower than on an Eagle. My 2017 Eagle 293 RKDS is overslung so my jacks have plenty of clearance.

The way Lippert designed the jacks makes them a flaw in how much they can be adjusted. They put the gear box/motor on the top and that is the issue. The jack has too much overall length.

Why Jayco thinks this set up is acceptable is beyond me. Just shows how stupid engineers can be.

I also have a 38REFS. When the trailer got delivered to the dealer I did a "Test" hookup prior to PDI and final delivery to make sure everything fit. First thing I noticed is the rear jacks were too low. I ordered and had the dealer install the Lippert Correct Track system. It is designed to be used by approved dealers to align the axles. However, a side effect is that is raises the trailer 2". Made a big difference. Rear jacks are still low but better. Dealer told me there is no room to raise them on the bolt holes because they will hit the floor. If I run into problems I may just cut the mounts down to gain another few inches.

Let me quantify my previous post. My jacks are as high up as they will go without cutting a hole in the floor. They are indeed height adjustable if there were room to move them up.

Ah, well that's good. Mine had 4-5" above the jack to move. They were maybe 4" to 4.5" off the ground when fully retracted.

I had my North Point adjusted at the dealer at purchase. I have around 8" of clearance.
