I run G614's on my rig and have for years. My rims are rated for 110 psi. I set the cold psi at 100 psi year round. I do have to adjust it several times due to seasonal changes. The tire sticker on my rig shows 80 psi because that is the what the mfg provided and they recommended that for the cold tire pressure with E rated tires. Mine are G.
As you know many things control the temps when running, for instance ambient temp, sunshine on the road, tire pressure speed, etc..
My TSPS is accurate to 1-3 psi between tires and I have my alarms set to the recommended pressure or near. -10 low and +20 high. would in my case would be 70 and 120 on my trailer tires. When I am underway the pressure will vary upward from set temp to 115 psi depending on the hottest day depending on the variables listed above. At no time would I stop and let air out of a tire that is running in the range I have set.
Also my TSPS has temperature alarms that are default set for 157 degrees. Never have I had one approach that temperature.
On a vehicle as long as you have the same size/ load range tire you should use the sticker on the trailer for pressure reference.
As stated, in a free society you can do what you want but at your own peril.
