Heat pump vs heater

Thank you. It's our first 5th wheel, having moved up from a 39ft travel trailer. Not sure why we waited so long to make the transition.

Agree with others, you will have one heat pump. We needed some clearance to be able to get our Pinnacle in our 13' 6" rv garage door height so had the dealer change both units to a low profile version. We only had the one heat pump in the living area but since we were changing them out went with an hp for the bedroom also. Honestly don't use it much as the living room unit can keep the whole house pretty comfortable. Ours has been working pretty good while we are in the Colorado Rockies at 8K feet until it gets to about 37 degrees. I use the furnace below that temp.

I was thinking about this thread yesterday as we were loading for a short trip this coming week, and started looking for the furnace controls? have not worried about as it typically doesn't get terribly cold here, and don't think about cold weather any more than I have to. The main AC has the heat pump, but how do I control the furnace and temperature? You would think I would know that!!

On the climate page of the app or BMPro on the "main" heat A/C under the temperature setting area you will see 3 small icons, the left icon allows you to select heat, a/c or fan, if you select heat the center icon will then let you select options, Heat Pump, Furnace or Both. The third small icon in heat mode is disables as that allows you to select the fan type in A/C mode as low or high. Once you find the correct icon it is very intuitive, just allot of options :-)

Makes eminent sense, than k you so much. I will go play with it in a bit.
