Helpful hints for newbies

Hi,

We are new to this and recently made our maiden voyage in our 2017 Pinnacle from MN to TX. Traffic was crazy getting into Houston and I failed to read the toll booth traffic signs. 8'6" doesn't fit through 9' very well. I found out the hard way that you need to stay to the far right and now need minor canopy repair.
I recently spoke to a neighbor who bought a 1 year old Jayco toy-hauler. He had a pin, the one that locks in the front levelers, fail and his rig almost collapsed onto him. He now puts an additional bolt through the hole immediately beneath to ensure that never happens again.
Hoping some of you will share things you've learned along the way to do or not do.

Thank you.

Great safety idea. An extra pin for the front landing legs! Can never be to trusting.
Thanks,

We were at a local campground and the trailer was setup on a decline. We leveled the trailer on one side with those orange blocks and put wheel chocks on the other side for safety. When I unhooked the trailer it started spinning around to the side with the blocks. Lesson learned ALWAYS chock both wheels.
