you know, I was thinking about tire rub, and mine did rub on the sidewall against a piece of metal on the slide. Look above your tires at the floor see if the tires are touching when you hit a bump. Is your trailer level in the rear when on the hitch?

I have plenty of room on right side and above tire on all wheels. The left side both tires have barely any room beside the tire and slide. The rear tire rubs lightly loaded hitting bumps. The rub is just below the side thread and not even at the widest part of the tire. I would be afraid to load it up it would probably cut thru the sidewalk. Trailer is level. All welds are straight and hangers are straight. I just sent an email to see if engineering found the cause or a fix. I will bet there were a shipment of axles that the leaf spring mount were welded over to far.
