Hooking up a Dish Tailgater

So confused. There is a jack with A & B port on it, do we use these to hook up the satellite to the TV? Thanks--

I have a 2103 Eagle Premier. To hook up a satellite you plug in the cable to the outside jack on the unit. On the inner plate with a A&B port , there should be a short cable connecting the two. Remove that cable. Disconnect the round cable from the back of the TV. That goes into your receiver box for dishnet. Then you hookup a HDMI cable from the receiver from Dishnet to your TV. Be sure to change your input on the TV to HDMI. you will be good to go.

If you have something like this:

Remove the jumper, connect the Tailgater to the external connector. Connect the Satellite receiver Sat. In to the A port, connect the Satellite receiver to TV via HDMI.

Connect port B to the TV out on the sat box to get it on the second bedroom TV.

We got everything hooked up and started the setup per instructions, didn't work. Called dish, on the fourth call I finally found out that the receiver had to have the latest downloaded software which the tailgater can not do. Disconnected everything, took it into the house, (disconnected everything on our DVR) and then got the download. Now working great. BUT for the life of me, I could not find in the setup instructions anything about downloading software. Thank goodness we tried it at home and not at the campground.

That happened to us as well! We also tried it at home as well- It Could never get all satellites at the house but took it to the campground and it found all three immediately-go figure! We sat it ontop of the front slide out and bungee'd it there...works perfect!

Not to hijack the tread but where did you hook up your 12 volt ? It would be nice if a plugin was right there with the sat outlet.
thanks

I want a Tailgater, been trying to convince Dish to drop the price for a long time subscriber, but so far nothing! If anyone was successful let me know how you did it, as I'd love to have satellite in the camper!

I bought my package on amazon for $400. That was the cheapest I could find it.
