Hot Water Problems

After setup, noticed that my fault light for electric and lp on the water heater was on. I found a loose thermostat. After fixing that I noticed I have hot water in my toilet and both sides of the faucet. What is that all about?

This may be an obvious question...But ...is the supply hose for the city water connection out in the bright sunlight? Could be just solar heated water in the supply line?

Is there anything that could freeze, break and cause this situation?

I dont see how this could happen. Assuming the plumbing system worked properly before and there are no major problems from the factory. Maybe the cold side is being back-fed somehow from the water heater; are the water heater bypass valves set correctly? Maybe an outdoor kitchen has its valves open but no faucet attached? Really stretching it here, odd problem.

Verify that the wh bypass valves are set properly or the shower valves are on and shut off at the sprayer.
Hot water is bleeding into your cold somewhere.

My last trailer had the hot water plumbed to the toilet and the cold to both side of the bathroom sink. The water lines had to be redone

It was the water mixture valve on the back of the water heater. Thanks for all the replies.
