How the heck do you make the bed

We have the 31.5 RETS where the matress is tight against the wall. Breaks my back every time I try to make the bed, so I have given up. Anyone have a great idea. I was thinking a duvet would be the way to go, but hubby sleeps cool and I sleep hot.

Up to the very-very end I was thinking that you needed a wife. Ooops.
I suggested (to my bride) using sleeping bags - but she nixed that idea.

The same problem exist with our 31.5 FBHS. I've tried to get the wife to make the bed upside down. Heat at the foot, but she wont hear of it, or even agree to try it once.

We (and I do mean WE) slide the mattress down toward the foot, make the bed, then push it into place.

I make the bed by pulling the mattress down to change the sheets and blanket then my DW uses a gripper to straighten it up after that.

We met/lived-in Europe for many years and learned to love duvets - that is all we have in our house. Get hot ... kick it off, get cold ... cuddle! That said, in the TT for ease of laundry, I use the bedding clips and attach a top sheet to the duvet. I buy the earth-tone sheets from Amazon and they are so easy to put on the mattress (and that includes the Costco topper) then I shake-out the duvet/top-sheet on top every morning. This is what we do for our queen bed, bunks, and dinette bed, and so easy to strip for laundering. Easy-peasy-done!
