How to change out the dinette light ??

I have a broken fixture on one of my dinette lights. Anyone ever change out one of these ?? Tried to "unscrew" the fixture but that didn't work. Tried to remove the screws on both sides of the light but they didn't budge. Before I get to rough with it I was wondering if anyone else has attempted to replace this type of light fixture.

Is there a ring that unscrews inside at the base of the bulb?

Does the globe itself unscrew? It may be LED and you'll have to change the whole lamp.

Had to replace the globe on the light over the sink in my Eagle due to a misapplied lock washer that allowed the pendant light drop out of it's canopy; on it's maiden voyage, no less.

The only way to do it was to remove the light from the ceiling, and loosen the wiring from the bottom of the base. This will allow you to pull the socket and wiring from the globe. The globe is held in place by the socket and the nut/lock washer in the base.

It's not really hard or extremely time consuming. Removing the light from the wall should be a lot easier than that darn ceiling pendant.

My Bad! Looked like a wall light until I clicked on the picture. At least you can still do it from the floor.

FWIW, it look's just like the globe that I had to replace.

I'd get it from Jayco themselves. The VIN will inform them as to which lamp to sell you.

Sorry, I thought you were able to replace the globe only. Jayco is telling me that I can't get just the globe.

My dealer provided the globe under warranty, the light broke on our very first trip by loosening and swinging against the slide while driving. He probably cannibalized a unit on his lot to make me whole. (Another attestation to buying from a family-owned dealership, but that's a whole 'nother thread )

eTrailer has a generic seeded glass shade available, there might be others that can be found with a search.

This older post shows the fixture disassembled. There's a pretty informative picture at post #11

Mine dropped from the ceiling on there own. Once I felt how heavy they were and that the wife kept whacking her head on the glass sitting at the table I threw them out. Replaced them with the flat LED disks that were like the rest of the unit. Work great with no more head aches!

I have a 2017 Eagle HT 27.5 rlts, and thought I would be wise 1 time and remove the globe so clean the dust off from the inside. Never got the stupid thing back tight again. I do have the ring inside the globe, but I can't get it to screw back in - so it just kind of hangs from the ceiling not tight and straight like it's twin next to it - frustrating.

If anyone has a diagram or tips to get that son of a _____ tight again, please share.

we wanted to replace them both with fixtures that don't hang down, but not sure how to remove the fixture itself.

If they're pendant lights, they should just be held in place by the canopy. Removing the two screws should let the whole fixture come down. One of the wires will probably have a Scotchlok type connector, which can be a little tight pulling through the hole, but it will come.

ok, thanks. It's been months since I last looked at it. It's getting to be camping season here in FL, so I will now be in the camper about every other weekend soon!

Finally!

Yep unscrew from ceiling, pull down unit whole, disconnect wiring and throw them out. Replace with lighter more lumed LED disc lighting.

Sometimes the "Ring" to unscrew is INSIDE the glass.
Remove the bulb and see if there is a ring around the fixture at the base of the glass.

it can be done

I replaced all of my 12 volt pendant lights over my sink. You have to take the base off the ceiling, disconnect the wires and then unscrew the whole assembly. I put a new light holders in the fixture for 12 volt replaceable bulbs. Which you can get on Amazon. Now all I have to do is change the bulbs. You can always change the globe too. Good luck

Replaced our sconces because the DW didn't like the look.
I just unscrewed the led light and the sconces came off. So in my 2020 330RSTS the led light held the sconces on.

Ours looked like whoever installed them had just finished up doing an oil change! I unscrewed the LED light and there was a jam nut holding it on, seems like some of us have the same looking light fixture that was built somewhat different
