How to Reseal

I noticed on the bottom of the trim under the bedroom, near the pin is starting to look bad. It looks like the butyl they used has been eroding from way the water runoff as it runs down the side of the trailer from the roof.
Anyone know if there is something better to use other than butyl tape? I hate to think I will have to remove the trim every few years to reseal this. If I do nothing, it will eventually start leaking and the water will pool where the pin is.
I have attached 2 pictures to give you an idea at the location of the problem.

The best product that I have found for sealing leaks is "Dicore" there are 2 types one is for vertical surface and the other is for flat surface. I have used it on roofs and to seal the trim on the sides and corners. Comes in different colors and in both tape and tubes of like what caulking comes in. Can put it on with caulk gun, squeeze tube or by using the tape type and pressing it on.

Have you tried the gutter extensions? They move the water out farther from the trailer and may solve your problem cheaply and easily.

It has gutter extensions already. My storage isn't level, but this started when it was parked level. I would hate to see what happens if I leave it like this in the unlevel parking spot. The last time I parked I left the nose 3" high and it has slowed down the rate of destruction to the seal, but I would have thought a better seal would have been done from the factory.
I am thinking of trimming off the rest of the butyl tape that has over time expanded out, then as MHBell suggested, using some Dicor on it. I would think removing the Dicor every few years and reapplying it would be easier than removing the trim and replacing the butyl tape.
Is the Dicor the same stuff they put above the exterior door, scare lights, and clearance lights? Mine has a white, almost looks like tub and shower caulk on the tops of them, I am assuming to keep them water tight.

The Dicor does match the caulk you are talking about, very good stuff. Just don't get the self leveling for that area.
