Ice maker valve
Hi All just brought the new rig home and wondering where the ice maker shutoff valve is ? Had water hooked up and ice maker on but no ice. I’m assuming the valve is off to fridge.
Thanks!

Should be accessible from outside the RV. Either a cover or access door, depending on the model and type of refrigerator.
On a propane/electric fridge, the access panel should look like the attachment.
Some residential refrigerators have a cargo door providing access to the back.

Pinnacle 36ssws the fridge is a whirlpool. I did look in the access door outside the fridge but nothing. Looked under the rig that’s where my last one was. I will just have to keep searching. I do have the drinking water system.
Thanks….

My pinnacle 32RLTS has 2, one under the kitchen island, and one behind the silverware drawer next to the fridge which needs to be pulled out to access.

And this may be a silly question but you do have a red on/off switch on the island somewhere. It needs to be on. I know, but have had someone before not know what the switch was for. And you did say you found the ice maker switch inside the icemaker, so that leaves a valve closed somewhere, under the island or near Fridge well hid behind a cabinet. Curious, do you have drinking water from the little spigot by the sink on the island? It and fridge both get their water from the same bottle

Oh yes, my ice maker (and drinking water faucet) is fed by a 12vdc pump that gets it's water from the 5 gallon drinking water jug. Pump is 12v but plugged into a 120vac transformer under the kitchen island. Pump is mounted inside island in a poor location and has a switch on it that is very hard to reach and is annoyingly noisy.
I do not use my ice maker or the 5 gallon drinking water system, just too much bother messing with all of it, plus if you aren't on shore power you have no drinking water.

What ARoamer said. Pull the drawers out between the fridge and the stove. That's where mine is. Seems like a strange place to put a shut off valve but, hey, it's an rv. I bypassed the pump and the jug and installed an under sink filter for the drinking water spigot. With the outside filter, the filter in the fridge and the under sink one I get pretty good tasting water.

Didn't they eliminate the drawers next to the fridge for the 22's? Maybe on the other side?

Yes I have the drinking water battle and pump switch was unaware that the ice is hooked up to that system. Didn’t really want to use that system but I will give it a try.
Thanks.

I am sure you have a reason not to want to use it, but from my perspective, it works well. two of us will go through a bottle on a weekly outing between water for the coffee maker, and cocktails. I have gotten used to planning on visiting the grocery store/Lowes most trips.

I have to ask, there is a switch in the Whirlpool Fridge behind the ice container that turns the ice maker on and off. Is it on? On my 21 RSTS, there is a valve in the waterline behind the fridge, however, one cannot get to it to actuate it.

Anyone have an issue with filling the water jug only to find it empty by the time we arrived at our destination?

Would you give more details how you bypassed the pump. This fresh water system is terrible and I would rather get water straight to the fridge and not have all the racket from the pump?

I disconnected the line from the jug, of course, and removed it. On the inside I removed the out line from the pump and tapped into the cold water line under the sink. I'm 700 miles from the Pinnacle right now so I can see exactly what I did. I know I have a feed line to the ice maker and one to the water spigot on the sink running thru an under sink filter I bought on Amazon.
