Ice maker water line

We just purchased a 2019 37mdqs Pinnacle and near the refrigerator there is a sticker that says the valve on the waterline to the ice maker must be turned off if the weather gets below 34degrees. We will be in the rv during the winter so we want to make sure it’s turned off. Does anyone know where to turn it off at? We have the whirlpool fridge with water and ice maker in the door.

You can look behind the drawers next to the fridge. If the pinnacle is like the north point, there’s a second hidden **** off under the floor of the island, next to the drain.

What Tom said, I will say when I looked for it under the stove draw next to the fridge, it was way in the back and up off the floor. I almost missed it, but spotted it with the flash light.

I just purchased a 2018 36kpts and what I figured out I believe is the water supply valve is located on the left side of the island ....below the bottom panel...the valve at the rear corner of the fridge in the low point drain valve .....since I also had a cutoff valve under the camper for the low point for the fridge I left the valve open back at the corner of the fridge ....( could. To reach it anyway ). I also blew my system out with air to determine which valves control what and where.....then we loaded it up with antifreeze except for the fridge....

Sjkelly328 Most residential fridges have 2 drain lines for the fridge. Other owners with different Pinnacles have found them. When you find yours, please post where you found them on your unit to help the next guy.

I have my trailer set up on a farm in south Alabama for the winter. We usually get a few days of hard freezes each year. The water line goes through the slide so that makes it vulnerable to the cold.
I got a water filter bypass for the refrigerator. Blew out the line with air. I then cut off the valve under the sink and opened the low point drain.
I also added cut off valves to the lines going to the washer so I can do the same to it.

I can use the kitchen and bathroom when I'm there. I usually try and leave some kind of heat on but I can easily and quickly blow out the rest of the lines if I have to.

Using air... I am able to find only one low point drain for the fridge...and one input water line to the fridge....air blew water out of the dispenser as well...ice maker freezes anyway so not as concerned but still winterized best we could...

You want to shut off the valve in the island and open the outside fridge drain line to let he water out, and leave it open.
Don’t worry about the valve beside the fridge behind the drawer.
The island valve shuts the water off BEFORE it goes outside under the slide where it would freeze.

All we did was wrap the track that carries the water line and elec with foam pipe insulation. If you're going to be in the cold climate for a long period add a 6' heat tape. Just watch how you install it so it doesn't get pinched.

Ice Maker Shut Off

Should be two shut off valves. One located next to the fridge behind the drawer beneath the oven. Second valve is located in the kitchen island.

Any idea if this applies to all models? I could not find the second valve under the stove in our 2018 North Point 315RLTS but will look again.

Thanks!
Dave

It has to be there...that’s where the transition from 1/2” pex to 1/4” fridge water hose happens.
Unless you have no water to your fridge, then they forgot it.

We have a 2019 North Point 379 and there is a value behind the drawer that is under the stove and one under the sink behind the wood covering in the left corner.

Just removed the draw under the oven next to the fridge on my 2018 NP and there is NO shut off valve. No water lines at all, just electrical wires. I will check under the kitchen island. Anyone else with a 2018 NP that doesn't have a shut off valve next to the fridge??

Speaking of water lines does anyone know what size pex is being used in the north points? 1/2 inch? Ordering some PEX fittings, cutter and crimping tool to prepare for cold weather camping coming up for 3 weeks and figure better to have the stuff and not need it then need it and not have it.

I just checked ours again (2018 315RLTS) and there is not a second valve. I've attached a pic.

Interesting, my 17 has it right in the area that the electrical wire goes in that hole behind the fridge.

Watts or Shark bite fittings work a lot easier and faster. And yes it's 1/2 inch.

Is that white line going into the cut out a 1/4 inch plastic hose?
