Information needed on a Northpoint

We’re thinking of trading in our eagle for a 2018 North point 315 rlts. It was built probably at the beginning of the year and was wondering when they stopped making 2017‘s and switched over to 2018s. not sure if it’s a 2017 rebranded to 2018 with the defects of 2017 units. Also would like input of any owners of a Northpoint 315 rlts. Are you having any major problems and are you satisfied with the construction and the fit and finish. Thanks

I have a 5 month old 315 and my wife and I love it.

That said, I am having a big problem this week and was just about to post something as a warning to North Point and Pinnacle Owners.

I have a mouse or a rat eating my piping this week and I found out he was able to walk in on the frame rail because Jayco didn't put gasketing where it is required. They also just poked the low point drain lines through the liner and left pretty large (4 inch) holes in it. The gap is a couple feet from the vent in the stairs so whatever walks in there can go right into the camper. (mice, spiders, snakes, roaches, scorpions)

The only other issue that I have is with the bathroom counter top. It is not solid surface but the laminated stuff. You have to make sure you silicone the counter top to the sink or the counter top will start to delaminate quickly.

My RV is going to the shop next week.

We have a 315 and have been very satisfied. No major problems.
The water funnel for the ice maker in the residential refrigerator froze up making it leak into the freezer but no big deal just let it thaw out all was good. Some trim and doors loose (fixed myself).
Check and see if it has the heavy duty shackles and wet bolts. 2018's up are supposed to have them. I had to add mine.

We have a 2018 North Point 315 RLTS and love it. My only concern is that the kitchen slide which has the pantry, oven, stove, microwave and our residential frig really labors when going in and out...........there is so much weight on that slide that I'm afraid it will fail someday! Really makes some laboring sounds!!

Akruebbe: If you are worried about the extra weight of the slide (and it probably is) it is now the time to install the extra roller brackets.

Seems no one answered OP question. 2018 model North Point started delivering latter May 2017. However, there are mid year models that come with slight differences/improvements, around January. Example: Our 2017 NP 377 RLBH was delivered 5/27/16, incredibly, 24 days ahead of invoice est delivery date 6/19/16. Funny thing, we had ordered a 2016 on the last day they were taking orders for 2016. That was 3/21/16. Took 9 weeks for delivery. What a surprise to get a 2017! The dealer said another 4 week delay if we wanted a 2017. So next model year North Points seem to recur in May. Then Pinnacles seem to start delivering sometime in July. But we’re seeing delays this year. Same building produces both. I think same building also makes the Designer. All on rotation. Then the mid-year models arrive with slight changes and improvements. When I toured the facility, an avg 12 roll off each day, and there’s 37 stations, so the math says it takes 3.5 days from start to finish.

That's a good video. Thanks for finding it and sharing it with us. Looks like a wear bar would cause a lot of friction.
