Installing a 2nd AC

I've done some searching and can't find a clear answer. Has anyone installed a second AC? We are currently camping on the SUN and it is stifling mid day in our fiver. If we ever camp in the south again in summer we are going to need it.

We have an Eagle HT 19.5BHOK

I've installed one on a unit that was pre wired for it. Simple install! Hardest part was getting the A.C. unit up on the roof.

Stupid question--how did you know you were prewired for it?

Had a blank cover on a gang box near the vent/skylight in the front bedroom where the A.C. unit would go, on that cover it had a sticker saying something about being wired for A.C. unit. Also had a breaker labeled for a 2nd A.C.

Thanks! We'll take a look in the light of day tomorrow to see if we stand a snowballs chance of cooling this thing off in the future if we park it on the sun again, lol

You'll need a 50A setup. If unit is not prewired it will be more difficult.

Yeah the tell tale sign should be if you have a 50 amp cord now.

If you have a 50 amp service, and if you RV is not pre-wired, you can still install a second AC unit. In my previous camper, a Keystone Challenger, I installed the circuit breaker, wire, and unit. All it take is a strong desire and patience. I have several tips I would be glad to share.
Your first order of business is to determine if you have a 50 amp service. Let me know if I can help in any way.
