Installing a Door Catch

We have a "friction" door that I feel is pretty much worthless. The wind blows it back and forth all the time. The friction hinges are supposed to somewhat prevent the door from swinging in the wind. My question is about installing a door catch. Has anyone installed one and had it ripped out of wall due to the wind? That's my fear in installing one. I know I need it but don't trust it to work for years. Or once installed it's pretty secure?????

They have used them for years in the RV industry and still do.
