Installing replacement Rear A/C on Northpoint.

They are shipping me a new AC unit. I have a HVAC buddy helping me install it but had a couple questions specific to this RV.

1. How does it mount? The rear unit is “hidden” on the inside so I don’t have access to the standard 4 bolts in the ceiling vent.

2. Can I use a standard gasket or does the Coleman Mach 8 require a specific one?

I have lap sealant and eternabond tape in case we need it.

Thanks- Jason

Everything is done from the top. Remove shroud, remove squirrel cage blower cover and remove 4 lag screws. You don't need any caulk or tape the new a/c comes with a new gasket already attached. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN the new unit. There should be plastic tabs on the gasket that tells you how far to compress it.
