Insulating water regulator

Just trying to get some ideas other than foam....also aside from a pressure regulator, how might one go about insulating their water filter? We have a heated hose also. TIA

Short term the best thing is turn water off ,drain the hose and disconnect from the water supply until it warms up.
We moved our filter inside a heated storage but still disconnect in freezing weather

It is supposed to freeze here tonight so I will fill my fresh water tank and unhook my pressure regulator and put it in the basement right beside my filter bank. This has worked for me each winter since 2010 when I started full timing. When the weather warms back up the regulator goes back outside and I refill the fresh tank for the next cold spell.

That's what I've been doing. Just filling tank on nights it gets freezing but we bought a heated hose so we could just leave it hooked up since the campgrounds water is heated....

Buy a 5 gal bucket for the filter. Notch the sides so the hose slips down and fill it with water. Even if the bucket starts to freeze the filter won't. Just like an Igloo.....

I used a foam spigot cover for my regulator.

It's one of the inline $20 filters. Not one that hangs down past the hose....that make sense? Might just go without it for the winter. Don't want to but lol

Maybe put a drop cord light next to filter at night?? Usually does not take too much heat to keep from freezing.

That's probably what I'll end up doing. Cut a tote so I'll fit over the spigot and whatnot and put a 100 watt trouble light in there. Thanks for the reply's. We're still learning!

Use an incandescent bulb, BTW, not LED or florescent.
