Intervac floor sweep

I have a 2019 jayco pinnacle, we are having problems with the built in vacuum system. The first time we used it after we hooked up it worked fine. Now when you raise the door to sweep it in, it blows it out instead of sucking it in. I called intervac and they have been no help at all. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the site from SW Michigan. Sorry to hear that, Sie_nelson. I've seen those installed on other units but didn't get a chance to play with it. I imagine someone will jump on soon that has some experience with those vacs. Happy trails!

Is the vac bag too full? that would cause air to come back out instead of in..??

I'm trying to figure this out because ours work fine. And trust me, with four cats and three dogs, we use it a LOT.

What's going on in your basement? I was partly able to replicate your problem by leaving the sliding vacuum cover open in the motor unit. This is where you would plug in the hose if you were using it outside (like when I vacuum the truck interior). When left open, it did not blow inside, but did not offer suction inside at the kick plate.

Another thing about that motor unit and the dust bags: The motor unit is mounted in the basement wall sideways, so when you put a new bag in, the arrows don't face "up" as illustrated; they will face to the left. This is probably obvious to most users, but it fooled me the first time.
