Red face Inverter and Residential Refrigerator

Found issue with Inverter display not being on...2nd ground cable in battery compartment disconnected. Now the remote Inverter display is on and the residential fridg plug has power, the Inverter (Xantrex Pro 1000) displays 13.4 (good) but the LED is yellow, think it should be green. I am connected to shore power (50A) but when I turn Inverter off, power also goes off to Fridg plug and others. Thought shore power should pass-through?? Any thoughts?

I assume you have the XM series inverter? Per the manual, yellow light means it's running on inverter power. If you're connected to shore power, it should be green. Manual also confirms shore power should pass through the inverter even if the inverter is off.

It sounds like your inverter is not getting shore power for some reason and running off inverter power all the time. There should be an AC breaker for the inverter shore power with the rest of your AC breakers, likely in your DC converter panel. Make sure that is on and not tripped. If that is good, check the AC wiring on the inverter panel. Use caution, you're dealing with the 120v system, not the low voltage 12v system.

All,

I had this issue as well and troubleshot it, and found the issue. Basically the wires are really hard to get into the wago connector on the inverter. You have to use a small screwdriver to open the slot and make sure the wire is all the way in the connector. I called Jayco to let them know of this issue. My wires were just resting against the connector and would make contact sometimes and sometimes not. Make sure if you work on your own to disconnect the battery and turn the power off before opening the inverter to verify. You will have to lay on your back and will need a flashlight.

Thank you for the info. This sounds very similar because it has worked recently. I eill check. My inverter is in cargo ceiling mounted near front. The connections are towards the wall, hars to look at and work on. Is the Wago connector attached to back of Inverter? There is a wireway small panel directly underneath. Hoping not to remove unit since still under warranty.
