inverter "pre-wire"
We have the 321RSTS on order and one of the standards listed is "inverter pre-wire". Is this just for the residential refrigerator (we're going with the electric/propane) or can I easily add an inverter for other outlets?
Thanks,

My guess is it’s just a setup for the res fridge.

We’ve seen several outlets in addition to the fridge wired to the inverter so it would a make sense that pre-wire would include those additional outlets. On our Pinnacle, the Fridge along with TV and bedside outlet are in the inverter circuit. Jayco is pretty good at providing wiring schematics.
Disclaimer - it’s an RV so what makes sense may not be fact

Inverter prewire wouldn't be for residential fridge as an inverter is standard on units with residential. I would assume it's is what it says. Prewired so you can install one. I would assume select outlets would be powered or it could be the whole trailer. The dealer and their Jayco rep should be able to answer.

You could also email service@jayco.com with the last 8 digits of your VIN# and they would email you a wiring diagram.

Can anyone explain how they would “pre wire” for an inverter?
I think it’s a misprint
NorthPoint’s and pinnacles don’t list it
An Eagle is a lower end unit, doesn’t make sense that they would add extra wiring, transfer switch of some sort and engineering to allow a unqualified trailer owner mess with 120v electrical.

If it is a mis-print then it is mis-printed on the HT fifth wheels, eagle travel trailers, Jay flight travel trailers as well. I don’t think it’s a mis-print and to me it actually makes sense that these would have the inverter pre-wiring over the north point or pinnacle as they are marketed more for full-time and less likely to be used for off grid camping.
Also, now that I looked at the Jay flight trailers and see that it is listed in one of the option packages there as well, it really makes me think that it must be option to add an inverter to some number of outlets since the residential refrigerator is not an option on those models.

Interesting. I didn’t look lower than Eagle.
I hope someone who has it chimes in.
My mind is racing with ideas on how Jayco could possible make a cost effective solution to let an unlicensed electrician have a stab at their wiring.
A transfer switch needs to be involved somehow, and only to certain plugs that otherwise stay connected to shore power.
I’m thinking they just ran some 2 or 3 ga wire from the battery to a self resetting breaker then capped off the wires at a spot they felt is good to install an inverter of various wattages and sizes. Makes for good marketing, like “pillow shams”.

Believe you will find it's no different than the generator prep. Probably has a transfer switch that switches between utility and the inverter. It can be wired whole unit or be dedicated outlets/loads. It's actually pretty simple. You're just overthinking it. Lol
I installed a transfer switch for my inverter on a circuit that powers the bedroom outlets, both TV's and another outlet or two. Can boon with generator off and still watch TV, charge phones, run surround sound, cell booster, and sat dish. My lady had a cpap at one time and it ran it. Transfer switch is a make before break, so it is seamless transfer between inverter and utility/generator.

They don’t send out wiring diagrams while still in warranty.

Yep. This has been running in my head since I read it yesterday. Lol!
I would have loved the genny prep, but I wasn’t going to spend an extra $1000 for the option.
I can’t believe Jayco threw in a prep as a standard equipment.
There must be a company sponsoring the prep, like GoPower sponsors the solar prep.

I'll bet you're all over thinking it. Inverter prep only needs an extension cord end plugged into a standard outlet. Unplug the plug and put it into an inverter as a cheap transfer switch. Xantrex sells a self contained transfer switch that woul plug right in with no special wiring required. I don't know if this is what Jayco is doing, but I've seen it with other companies.

I guess it depends what mood they are in that day lol.
A lot of posts on here about how they can’t get a wiring schematic.

Need to have a vin first. Trailer is on order, so the vin probably doesn't exist yet. The dealer will get notified when the vin is issued then the dealer should notify the customer and provide the actual vin.
Note, I had no trouble getting any prints from Jayco. Didn't try under warranty as I didn't need any at that time. Also their prints aren't the greatest. The line doesn't follow them completely.

Request drawings while under warranty
If you’re still under warranty your dealer has to request drawings. Then pass along to you. That’s what we did

I just bought a 21’ WhiteHawk. I have installed solar. That was very easy. Now I want to install an inverter. I see it has pre wire so I bought the GoPower IC2000 3 in 1 inverter unit. It looks straight forward from an Install standpoint. An I over thinking. This will be my first inverter install.
Advice is helpful

Can you describe the inverter pre wire set up? I’m curious
