Jack Squawking on 2017 28.5 HT

One of our front jacks squawks when we move around in the 5th wheel. Husband has used lubricant on every accessible surface, moved the jacks up and down numerous times, but it always returns. The sound is coming from the enclosed cable column where the motor is. It sounds like cables rubbing. (On a humorous note, when we first set up, we heard the squawks and thought it was a local bird. After a day of the noise, he went out looking to scare the bird away and realized where the sound was coming from.) Any suggestions?
