Jayco 29.5 BHOK Duct Vent

The rear duct vent in our Eagle ht 29.5 bhok is not in the rear bunk house. If we close the door to the bunk house no heat gets in to the room. Anyone know of a skinny vent extender? The ones I find go the wrong way.

If the ducting runs back into the bedroom, you can cut and install another vent in the bedroom. You can leave the other vent or replace it with a vent with a damper on it and close it.

Talk to an HVAC firm. They can custom make whatever you need and it shouldn't be very expensive. They can probably give you suggestions on the best way to handle it.

Just checked mine and I have a vent in the floor at the base of the steps in the bunk room. Maybe your ducting goes that far but Jayco just forgot to cut the hole. If you run the furnace maybe you can feel if the floor there gets warm.

Bluie5, thanks for checking. Any chance you could take a picture for me? I just walked back there and the floor isn’t warm were the duct should be. I have a 2018 too.

Pull the vent off and look or use a mirror to look to see if the ducting runs into the bedroom and how far. You could also run a tape measure or wire fish to see how far the ducting goes.

Sounds like they missed cutting a hole for your vent. Here is a picture of ours...

Mine looks like IceOnFire’s. When was yours built? I know IceOnFire’s and mine were built around the same time, end of January or early February. It could have been a change from 2018’s that were built last year.

Someone posted not long ago that the factory missed cutting and installing a heat vent.
