DesertRat.. I had a similar 2009 CC like you with a 5th Airborne. Let me know what you think of the MorRyde after you get to do some towing.
I would rather have the 5th Airborne again. It didn't chuck this bad, or maybe it's just the difference between the two rigs.

I believe you said previously that she reminded you of a prom date you had. In my case that would have been before seat belts and she would have fit in the from seat!!

Thanks very much.

My only experience with pin boxes has been with the fixed extended Lippert pin box that came with my CC new and my current 5th Airborne. I love this pin box and am checking to see if it will fit the frame of the 377. If it does that will be part of the trade-in deal - swapping pin boxes. if it doesn't, I will get a new 5th Airborne that does fit the 377 frame. That means I will have to give the MORryde a chance before I make the switch. The MORryde that comes with the 377 seems to just move on one plane and does not have the up and down dampening that an air bladder and shock absorber would provide. They do make one with a bladder and shock but they are exposed while with the Fifth Airborne they are protected inside the inbox.

My Reese hitch plate tilts fore and aft as well as side to side -- add that to the inflatable bladder and shock absorber on the 5th Airborne and it is sooooo very pleasant to ride in the truck while towing -- even over very uneven roads. Not to mention how much easier it is on the trailer.

Cheers, Gib

I have the same hitch as well. I notice a huge chucking difference now.
Unlike other complaints about the Fifth, I never had an issue of losing air. For the price (before Reese bought them out) it was a great hitch.
Now if I carry a load of water, I notice the chucking reduced.

Mine only loses a significant amount air is when it sits in storage or at a campground for an extended period of time. The bladder is so small that it doesn't take much air loss to make it significant. it is so easy to put more air in that it has never bothered me. While towing, it don't seem to lose any.

Would you believe another request. I would very much appreciate 2 more measurements when the 377 is level --
How many inches from the pavement to the underside of the pin box
How many inches from the pavement to the underside of the front of the trailer (Am attempting to calculate side rail clearance)
I would then be able to run those numbers against truck side heights when I am looking to purchase a replacement truck to know ahead of time any clearance issues. The truck I have now would be 2070# over its GVWR -- even considering what I have now is equal to a 3500's GVWR of 9900# since I have the extra leaf each spring pack and Timbrens.

Many thanks in advance.

That is outstanding! You'll be able to take the measurements while it is still level in your camping site before you hook up -- You are most helpful and I caught you at the right time.

Again, many thanks.
