We own a 2018 Eagle HT 27.5 RKDS and love it! It is easy to tow with our Silverado and we love the layout. It is a rear kitchen and front bedroom and has plenty of storage. If this is the fifth wheel you are considering, I would highly recommend it. It is considered a "couples" trailer as there is limited extra sleeping space for children..just an FYI.

It is all about floor plan. Search around. Visit different dealers and see the units in person. Sit in the chairs/couches/toilets. Yes, toilets. Make sure there is enough knee room. No I am not joking Check out storage location and sizes.
Biggest thing for us is bed size. For some stupid reason the RV industry decided people would be happy with a 'short' Queen size bed. If you are not very tall they may work for you. But, even my 5'4" wife did not like the short queen in a previous fiver.
Every couple will like a different floorplan. If you find one that works for you then go for it.

27.5 rlts
We just took ours on its maiden voyage. Overall love the floor plan; especially the big back picture window - we overlooked a lake. The kitchen comes with an attachable countertop extension that I really like. Found minor corrections and our dealer said bring it right over. Addressing every nitpik thing we found. Easy peasy for setup. Such an upgrade from our Kiwi!!

New buyer
We just purchased the 27.5 and will only use it in the spring. Tow vehicle is a Ram 2500 Crew with Cummins diesel so I believe well within specs. Don't have a hitch yet so wondering what you are hitching it to. With a short box 6 foot 4 I expect I will need a slider as the dealer recommends. Do I? Which slider hitches? Is the Anderson OK? (extends 4 inches) or the Companion? Have time to check it out but am shopping around now. So wondering what other owners are using and your recommendations.

Congratulations on your 5er and welcome to the forum.
I can't help with your question, but the issue of 'which hitch' gets debated frequently. No doubt you'll hear from folks soon.

After a whole lot of forum research and other research, we originally order the MoRyde slide hitch; at the last minute - after further discussions with our dealer, we switched to the Reese Sidewinder and are very happy with this choice. Less weight to remove it (which we will need to do) and no problems with our 2017 F250 6.5 bed. Haven't taken it on lengthy trips yet - next week; but our 'shake down' at our local campground went well.
