Jayco Eagle 321 Slide Out Storage Question

I'm looking for info I got a jayco eagle 321 has slide out storage under rear bumper. Was wondering about weight capacity and if its safe to leave extended while traveling. Thanks for any help or opinions on this

Welcome to JOF

I'm sure some FW members will chime in shortly..., but as an alternative you can contact Jayco at 574-825-5861 (have VIN handy).

I'm assuming that you are talking about rear storage that runs along the entire rear of the unit. the slide channels are attached to each frame. 300 lb. is what I think remember. We carry a 130 lb. generator as well as a ladder and spare sewage hoses. it is always extended when we travel!! Wouldn't be without it!! I made a friction lock to make sure that it doesn't move when traveling. We've hauled that generator on the rear for over 3000 miles!! No issues..

We have one on our Eagle and it's 250 lbs. maximum on the rear slide storage tray. Jayco also calls it a bike rack. Yes, it's made to travel in the out position and we love ours.

The one thing that you need to keep in mind is that with the tray being on the extreme back end of the unit, it IS the roughest riding part of the trailer!! Make sure that you have everything very secure when you use it!!

Just had one installed on my Eagle. Owners manual shows capacity as 250#. I Emailed Jayco and they confirmed that. Enjoy!
